69161 2002-08-07 09:34:00 Yes I have seen the previous posts about this problem, but none seem to relate directly to this.
I had ADSL installed today, ran fine, blah blah blah. An hour later I switched off the laptop (as some of us do). Later again I booted it up.

From that point on, as soon as the above adsl modem (model Ale070) gets a solid link to adsl I get the BSOD with an error stating that the "IRQL is not less than or equal to" God knows what.
Searched the net with little result so back to my fav place for answers....here.
Anyone else had the same prob?
Xtra seemed to think that it's a USB power problem so I pulled the USB mouse and USB hard disk - no change.
I have disabled the internal modem and com1 on the laptop, and it is, as I say, only when the modem's link light stops flashing to say that the link is go that the machine crashes.
Thanks for any help.
