| 69147 | 2002-08-07 09:16:00 | when i go to internet cafes i see people play counterstrike and the guns and the sounds are different to mines and not to mention the grafhics can u tell me how to change the guns so it looks better and the sound and the characters look different and betterr to eg one of the characters was the guy from the matrix!! please forgive me for my dumbness and reply i promise i ll pay attention to what i read!! and i addmitt im wrong and dumb!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| 69149 | 2002-08-07 10:19:00 | The reason why (some) internet cafes have different sounds, gun models and graphics etc is because they downloaded an add on pack for counter-strike . The add on pack can do many things, such as changing the sounds of the gun firing or the looks of every gun, and just sometimes it can make the you graphic look better than before . You can find loads of add ons for CS, believe me, there are tonnes of it . Here's a site that I use, well . . . I use to use, to download add ons, this site have loads . . . http://www . counterstrikecenter . com/ . Sometimes an add on just changes sounds or sometimes it just changes the guns models . As for the graphics, most internet cafe computers are made for gaming so their computers have all those stuff such as a top 3D card, a top sound card and hundreds of RAM etc . So the graphic looks different . To change the guns models, the sounds or the character looks, just download an add on pack (what sucks about that site I just gave you, is that it doesn't have any screen shots or sometimes barely a brief about the add ons . Except for the gun models and the maps . ) like I was saying, just download the an add on pack then follow the Read Me file or just use winzip to exract the files to your CS Dir . E . g . an AK-47 . mdl goes into your X:\Sierra\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models, if it's an player model then if goes into X:\Sierra\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models\player .
