69329 2002-08-08 10:22:00 Before I go on to read the rest of this thread, here's two of my sites...

mike.ywamcentral.com site[/url] - its more of a personal hobby/test/whatever site than a public one, but I do try to make it function so that people can have a look... Its quite out of date, and so I'm thinking of updating it, considering there's been some developments of the last couple of months :D

Miklum - a hobby site of a friend and mine... we're sorta interested in investing etc. so decided to make a site. The stuff on there is old at the moment - last updated just after the budget! But things are going to be added soon (he says...)

There was another site but it was taken down last week :(

Excuse me being nosey, why was that Mike.

Was it that the host went bellyup, or what ever happened to Tripod/Lycos UK.

69332 2002-08-08 11:31:00 I wasn't going to post this (http://sans_religion.tripod.com/) but, well, you asked. And I deny any association with the site. It may not be true, but I will still deny! Elwin Way (229)
69333 2002-08-08 11:52:00 Wasn't really going to put it up yet as it is far from finished, but!

Basically for the family & friends(hope there are a couple on PressF1)

69334 2002-08-08 12:19:00 I'm impressed by your efforts to use Notepad to produce a web page Graham :-) However, I'd like to recommend the Arachnophilia (www.arachnoid.com) freeware program for web editing in HTML. It's very good. Check it out. Rod J (451)
69335 2002-08-08 12:42:00 Rod, please see my new thread HTML Editors.

69336 2002-08-08 13:14:00 Hi Graham,

I used an older version of Arachnophilia that was just a normal Windows executable. But now I see you need a Java runtime environment for the new version. I'm just downloading it now and will check it out tomorrow.
Sorry, I missed the thread on HTML editors. Thanks.

69337 2002-08-08 20:19:00 Kiwitas - can you tell me a bit more about HostforFree - home page, ?cost (it sounds free), limit on size, FTP pr not?

I am a bit coy about my webpages, but I have a couple. One for my family (and it is just family pics), and the other something I did for a course at Massey a couple of years ago. I just put it up in another place just recently. I have been thinking about putting up a Newsletter for the organisation I am secretary for. I presently write the newsletter in Publisher, convert it to PDF format, and then email it.

PS Kiwitas - I live in the same town as you! :)

LOL nothing like that - It was a company website (a company I did occasional work for - including their site), but the company focus changed to a point where the website was just an unneeded expense, so they took it down.

Mike.
