| 69415 | 2002-08-08 10:47:00 | there are many ways to speed up the boot of your system: 1. defrag the hard drive. 2. check that your network cand has a fixed IP unless you have DHCP server 3. set BIOS for fast POST test (disable long POST test) 4. set BIOS boot order to hard drive first. 5. turn off all the stuff that loads at start up that you never use.(use msconfig) NOTE: there are many more that i cant think of right now and the order of the about is just as i think of them not how much effect thay will have :-) |
