| 69784 | 2002-08-09 12:41:00 | I am running XP Home & ME on my computer, & find that they are both very reliable & stable. ME is the more versatile of the two. I keep hearing bad reports on ME, but in my experience it is a very good system. What is wrong with ME? |

That's what I've asked many many times in this forum, and nobody has ever provided a reasonable answer - most of it is just hearsay, no real evidence. I use XP Pro now - was using ME, and have had less problems with XP than with ME, but saying that I also have to add that I had less problems with ME than I did with either version of 98. Basically if you've installed and set them up correctly, they'll do what they're supposed to. To be honest, the main reason I switched to XP is because I had software that had to be run on an NT based OS, otherwise I probably would have stuck with ME for a bit longer. But I am happy that I made the move anyway. Mike. |
