69752 2002-08-09 11:31:00 My screen (Phillips 107T) It is currently running at 60HZ (1024/768) and I would like change it to 85HZ (1024/768). Is there simple way to configure the x-server to do this?

Cheers

Liam.

69753 2002-08-10 02:14:00 Hi Liam,

A relatively simple method would be to open a terminal window, su to root and then run Xconfigurator. During the initial set-up Redhat 7.3 should have selected the optimum settings for your video card and monitor, but this should take you through the set-up again.

69754 2002-08-10 02:57:00 You probably won't need this, but ...

Sometimes when setting up a monitor you get into a potentially destructive mode. The emergency shutdown for X Window is Ctrl/Alt/Backspace.

Thought you might like to know this ;-)
