To get the sound back the sound card needs to be deleted in device manager and redected by the operating system Sound card ES1869F (Compatible with Windows XP) Why is the operating system loosing the sound card? | 70028 | 2002-08-10 21:36:00 | Do you mean after complete power-down or sleep mode? First thing I would try is downloading the latest driver. The second thing is maybe remove the card and clean the gold contacts with a very clean rubber (eraser) and re-seat it. (It sounds like it is a separate card, it is - isn't it?). I had an ESS card that was nothing but trouble, not quite compatible enough. robo. |
