| 69962 | 2002-08-10 08:45:00 | I am configuring a new machine: MSI K7N420 Pro Motherboard 512MB DDR Duron 600 (not o/ced) Seagate Barracuda IV 40GB and standard CD-RW and FDD Everytime I try to install windows (any version) I get problems with the installer crashing on IRQL_LESS_THAN_EQUAL errors. I am at my wits end with this problem, and am considering a BIOS flash as a last resort.... Anybody out there familiar with this problem or have any suggestions, I have changed all the BIOS settings in many different combinations without sucess. |

| 69963 | 2002-08-12 07:17:00 | Recently i have purchased a MSI board (KT3 Ultra ARU) and experienced the errors you are receiving. The problem being that the videocard is sharing a IRQ with another device. It is a known issue, expecially with NVidia based videocards. Take a look at the following URL's, as there is some interesting info on this problem with possible sloutions. www.amdforums.com f&daysprune=&forumid=12&x=15&y=7 www.viaarena.com - look up Infinite Loop Error also check out the MSI motherboard forums at www.msicomputer.com Hope this helps |
