2002-08-14 01:20:00 new ver of opera (www.opera.com)

Opera Software today released Opera 6.05 for Windows, a pure security upgrade that will implement changes in OpenSSL made public on Aug. 7, 2002 by the CERT Coordination Center (CERT/CC) as well as other bugfixes.

2002-08-14 01:33:00 just to add - the majorgeeks link is the full opera with java(11meg). i would suggest you go to opera.com and get the nonjava version (3.5meg). if you don't have java at all the get java1.4 from sun (links should still be in the opera/java thread at top of F1 page) tweak'e (174)
2002-08-14 04:08:00 Sounds interesting tweak'e. Two small queries. I am running Opera 6.04, and if I were to download it, will it over-write the existing programme, and will it retain my bookmarks? Thanks! Tony S. (450)
2002-08-14 04:25:00 you can install it over the top of your old install and it will keep all of your old settings and bookmarks. you can also export your bookmarks and setup to a safe location, just in case the worse happens. tweak'e (174)
