| 70854 | 2002-08-13 23:29:00 | When I type in word 2002, often some characters and punctuation marks are not entered into the document. I always need to go back over the text I have entered and re-enter the missing bits! Typing in any other application works fine. I have installed the patches for word and XP(home) and have run the application repair utility, turned off all other running applications and so on, but the problem remains. | PaulK (1487) | ||
| 70855 | 2002-08-14 00:09:00 | Switch off all autocorrect options, spell checking as you type etc in case its a resource issue. It happens with me, but I know its my typing! What hardware and operating system? |

| 70856 | 2002-08-14 08:47:00 | Thanks for the tip. I have done what you suggested, and also found that the speech recognition was turned on, even though I wasn't using it! With the speech recognition off and the autocorrect options off it appears that the problem may be solved. Of course my typing is not perfect either. |
