70574 2002-08-13 03:14:00 I have a Hewlett Packard Deskjet 930C printer.

Photographs are printed darker than viewed on screen and with a blue tint.

Has anyone any suggestions how to set-up the printer?

70575 2002-08-13 03:49:00 Computer monitors use 3 colours: RGB - Red, Green, Blue

Printers print using 4 colours: CYMK - Cyan, magenta, yellow and black

RGB will produce colours that are more brilliant and vibrant than the paper version.

You could open your photos in a photo program and tweak the colours so they are less strong.

70576 2002-08-13 04:26:00 You can open up display properties in control panel
Goto Settings Tab
Advanced
In there there may be something like color management (Differs between cards) and it will have a pic of a rose (Probably) and it will allow you to tweak your colour display to more reddish or blueish!
Also, try to avoid using 256 color. 16 bit is good, but 24 or 32 bit is best (If your card can hack it!)
