70706 2002-08-14 06:35:00 My brother rang yesterday whilst I was working from home.

"Hang on," I said "I'll just turn the timer off whilst I'm not working."

He drivelled on for a while till I pointed out that although he was being paid to drivel I wasn't.

He replied "I have only to attend work to be paid".

Now me, I have to do work to be paid! )And, yeah, timer went off a few minutes ago whilst I take a break.)

Sound familiar anyone?...

70708 2002-08-14 08:41:00 Heather, sounds a lot like a rather large round building we have down here in Welly .

A lot of people go in there, and get paid lots, but you never see any productivity coming out . . . at least PCW produce a mag and a somewhat usefull CD every month :D

70711 2002-08-15 04:33:00 As you will all notice, the time at which the PCW guys finish working and the time they actually leave differs by about 1 1/2 hours! Not Kerry's last post @ 5:35 :p

Anobody else?

70715 2002-08-15 05:46:00 hehe, I'll have you know that the Web team here at IDG are a very devoted bunch... it may seem that we muck around sometimes, but there's a lot of overtime (unpaid at that X-( ), that goes into creating and maintaining our sites... we've had people who spent New Year's Eve 2000 up the Sky tower waiting for the Y2K blackout to happen ;\ , Webmasters who trot into work at all times of the day and night to fix servers that have crashed (fortunately, not that regular an occurance), and of course people having to answer queries from site visitors, advertisers and business partners at all times of the night and day.

Do we qualify for martyrdom yet? ;-)
