| 70868 | 2002-08-14 01:07:00 | Hi, a friend has a Mustek 1200 scanner and a HP810c printer. The scanner is on a sisc card and the printer on the printer port. Why would this be done and can I plug the scanner into the printer port and the printer into the scanner? Are they compatible? I think the sisc driver may be causing problems and theyt don't use the scanner much. Thanks, asdex |

| 70869 | 2002-08-14 01:13:00 | sisc card?? I assume you mead scsi (scussi) interface No, scsi and parallel port are different things. The speed of transfer is superior in scsi, thats why it would have been used. Mustek did make scsi interface scanners. |

| 70873 | 2002-08-14 03:41:00 | You get more problems with scanners which use the printer port. :-( SCSI is much better. You can damage both parties if you plug SCSI and parallel units together. | Graham L (2) | ||
