| 70860 | 2002-08-14 00:53:00 | Have recently installed a DLink external. It's quite good, but just one annoyance. If I don't turn power on to modem before I boot I have to reboot to pick it up. Is there any way around this? It's a bit of a nuisance sas I always forget to turn the modem on first. Jack |

Triac is triggered by the +5v from USB, via a zero crossing detect opto isolator. As soon as the computer powers on, the power strip powers up the monitor, printer, modem etc, and powers down on shutdown. As long as the mobo doesnt keep USB power on.... |
