| 71261 | 2002-08-15 06:43:00 | I took the Paint Shop Pro evaluation off the free CD. (Thanks!). Some how (and my wife swears SHE didn't do it), every .jpg file on my computer now has the PaintShop icon instead of the normal Windows jpg icon. In addition - every time we try to open a jpg, it opens Paint Shop pro and will show the image in there. We don't want this to be the way, so I tried removing PAint SHop. This couldn't be done because the Install File could not be found. So in my wisdom I opened Explorer and sent anything to do with Paint Shop to the recycle bin. Then when I tried to open a jpg file, it told me that Paint Shop exe could not be found. (I restored it from recycle so at least we still can open files.!) How do I (a. Get all my jpg files back out of Paint Shop pro control. (b. Get all my jpg's back under the windows icon so that they will open as they used to. (c. Uninstall and get rid of Paint Shop evaluation. |

| 71263 | 2002-08-15 08:21:00 | Just a tip, whenever you install a program, you usually options like Minimum install, Average, Maximum, and Custom. I always choose the custom install so I know exactly what the program is going to put on my hard drive and what it is going to do. There is an option to associate different file types with PSP when you install it, but these options are not usually displayed if you do not choose 'custom'. | SoniKalien (792) | ||

If you then click on the "Remove All" option no files will then be associated with PSP and should revert back to how they were . Click on OK then go back in there again and put a tick back in the "Paint Shop Pro Image" as you do want that associated at least . You can also reassociate any other images if you wish at any time . |
