| 71167 | 2002-08-15 00:14:00 | Hello all, I'm getting a new puter soon and wondering what motherboard to get, i am thinking about an Asus one, but i don't know which chipset to get. SiS is a lot cheaper and has a heap more functions, Intel is expensive and does nothing much. What would you ppl sugest?? Sis or Intel? Thanks a heap - David |

| 71169 | 2002-08-15 06:03:00 | If you are planning of sticking with integrated graphics stay away from SIS. All of the SIS graphics chips I've used have been slow and had really crap drivers. | bmason (508) | ||

| 71171 | 2002-08-15 07:29:00 | i've got an intel chipset, just be sure to keep the drivers for the onboard chipset, cos if u reinstall then generic drivers will be used by windows. intel is alright but not too flashy. cheers, v.K------------ :D |
