A friend wants to try selling things on the internet. Doesn't want to start from scratch, reckons there are people offering it for a reasonable fee.

Can anybody recommend someone (reputable local/nz preferred) that hosts e-tailers with a basic framework with search, shopping cart, credit card, etc?

robo.

E-commerce comes in several flavours.

There's the "all-in-one" type where you don't create your own pages but use the providers templates, shopping cart etc. These seem to be the most expensive.

Another way is to create your own pages, select your own shopping cart etc and have it hosted.

The next type (which is where I'm at) is create your own pages and use the provider's shopping cart. - http://www.netsmart.co.nz
