71411 2002-08-16 02:47:00 Have Compaq Presario and have gone from 64 to 192 of ram which now shows as 184 in system properties, as some is shared. In device manager it has a small exclamation mark showing beside "system board exten for ACPI BIOS ......do I need to update something, ram was fitted by Compaq and am told Ram fitted is correct one. loftyboyd (1310)
71412 2002-08-16 03:40:00 you most likly have onboard video that shares the main memory . in this case it's borrowed 8meg from the main ram which is why it only reports 184 .

unless you are having problems don't worry about it .

if you are having problems just post details of problem and system .
