| 71377 | 2002-08-16 02:35:00 | I tested 2 computers for security vulnerabilities at Symantec (www.symantec.com) security2002. One with Winxp with Sygate Personal Firewall, the other with Win98se and no firewall. Firstly, they did not detect the correct IP address of either computer. Secondly, scanning for vulnerabilities produced the same results for both computers - They had been able to connect to my computer and it is vulnerable to malicious attack and recommended installing a firewall, which one computer already has. I would be interested in hearing from other people who have tested their firewall at Symantec and the results of the test. Davesdad |
