| 71648 | 2002-08-16 08:31:00 | ok im guessing alot of ppl may have this problem..but if any one knowes how to fix a WinXP reboot problem please help.. running a duron750,512megs ram,ge-force2mx400..as far as i am aware i have all the drivers,updates etc installed if any one else is having this problem mayb we can sort it out:) cheers |

| 71649 | 2002-08-16 08:51:00 | Better describe your problem? By "a reboot" problem do you mean a shutdown problem where the PC restarts instead of shutting down? If so, it is encountering a serious error, for which XP by default restarts. There is a setting somewhere to stop it restarting, and that way you should find out just what the error code is, and be able to make progress. Try Google? |

| 71651 | 2002-08-16 09:02:00 | yeh i have turned off the restart when it hits a critical error..its a reset not a shutdown problem..sorry should have been more specific..so far the 3 times its done it i havent seen the blue screen of death to actually tell me the error...i have a friend whois having the same problem tho...from what i can tell from the Microsoft site its a hard one to nail down..could be ,hardware,software,drivers... | TAZNZ (1526) | ||

| 71653 | 2002-08-16 09:12:00 | yeh it does it with games..i have a thunderbird heatsink and fan on a duron 750..i do only have a 250watt power supply running 2 HDD,burner,CDrom sound card etc etc..i havent done the power supply due to the fact i am going to upgrade but according to AMD the power supply is sufficent for the CPU ...but i can leave the computer running for a week with out a problem and then it may reset... | TAZNZ (1526) | ||
