1286692 2012-07-07 22:05:00 From the off I'll state I'm a pom and follow the round ball game so our rules are different, club owns player and they release them to play for country. Doesn't matter which country your based in.

Anyway back to SBW seems to me this guy would frustrate the **** out of me if I followed rugby. Moves clubs every year, switches codes all the time. Amazed anyone puts up with his behaviour

1286696 2012-07-08 00:53:00 He has lost his credibility. mikebartnz (21)
1286697 2012-07-08 01:01:00 Guy is making a buck for himself and looking after number 1, don't see what the problem is myself.

He is doing very well himself and it sounds like he has signed a very big deal so well done.

In IT we call it contracting, no one thinks twice about it.

You think there is a comparison to be made with what you do?

LMFAO.

1286699 2012-07-08 01:30:00 SBW has never shown any commitment to any cause apart from himself, He as treated every club, team and code he has been involved with like chumps.

Having said that, Mostly I have been indifferent, However I would hope that the all Blacks don't bother with him again, lets give the position to a player with a commitment to the team rather then coin.

I'll be pissed off if he gets hired for the next world cup.

Most definitely, I hope he isn't as well.

agree with you, he is doing what we all do - only on a slightly grander scale.

As i said I'm a pom and i follow football and have no real interest in rugby at all - wrong choice of country to settle in from sport point of view i guess - but from the fans point of view what he is doing must be really frustrating that you get a star come along who can actually make a difference to the result of a game as i believe he can, and then 12 months later he's off to go and play something else, and somewhere else and because of the rules means he can no longer play for the national team - crazy. Makes it hard for the coaches as well to get the team bonded and playing as a unit of the components are changing all the time. Waste of 2 years having him in there if he was just going to bugger off again ??

Perhaps NZRFU need to change their rules about who can play for the all blacks to keep the top talent in the national team ?
