2012-07-05 07:28:00 | I heard on the radio that the Council's maori advisor's vote was counted. Thought you had to be a elected councillor to be able to vote? Perhaps I am wrong? Ken

Ken He's Maori, so of course it counts. Now, if we had a council white advisor, it would be racism in the extreme. |

2012-07-05 22:43:00 | I hope that the dead defunct Wellington City Council members who voted "No" against the wonderful waterfront race here are feeeling just a little bit sick :( A great example of forward thinking/planning - NOT!!

2012-07-05 23:09:00 | At a cost to rate payers of 10.6 million? I thought businesses and business projects are to make money, not lose it. As much as I like car racing, if it cant make a profit, why do it? What a waste of money. | Iantech (16386) | |
2012-07-06 00:01:00 | Thats over 5 years. With such a large pop in that area that is only peanuts. Mr Brown said the event would attract about 50,000 visitor nights and earn $7 million in economic benefits from an annual investment of $2.1 million. It would also bring significant investment into the Super City's southern Franklin ward. Sounds pretty good to me. :)
