I suspect the man in the street would be happy for any advantage they get whether it be hard earned or well bought. Anyone trying to raise the "tall poppy syndrome" as a point deserves to be called a fool, If this had any merit in it I'd hold negative opinions over the selection and special treatment of Carter and McCaw. Two of the highest achieving all Blacks of all time. On the contrary I consider they should be awarded every ounce of respect and good will that we can give them.
