1286362 2012-07-07 05:34:00 Think we gave ours to eDay. A HP cable that was with our 2x CDRW at the time. Those days could not even watch VCDs (not DVDs). You know XingMPEG :D Nomad (952)
1286363 2012-07-07 07:09:00 I've got an old LS120 drive stored away somewhere. Could never understand why they didn't catch on more in their day as they could read standard floppies as well.

Well I'll be!!!!!!!!!!

I never knew that they could read ordinary 1.4MB floppies as well! I have a later USB version (not sure if it was 1 or 2) that I bought to read and write the data to another medium to future-proof my old LS120 Archives. It was a run-out from DSE and cost peanuts, so I figured it would be a good investment, and so it seems it may prove.

Cheers

It is even more useful now as I currently use a USB 1.4MB floppy drive from the Toshiba notebook to check old floppies and it is very slow.

Mine was internal and when I upgraded my MB it wouldn't work but I found it very useful at the time. Way better than the Zip drive with its click of death.
