You could use the phone, I am sure NZ Telecom would love you for that but if he has a cellphone, a cheaper way would be to look up a company called Digiplus which I think is in Auckland but offer nationwide access to cheaper international calling especially to a cellphone. There website I think is www.digiplus.co.nz and there number is a NZ Free Call 0800 800 168 Depending on where he is, if it is a land based phone you call, Telecom NZ may be cheaper but if he has a cell phone Digiplus is most likely to be cheaper. My parents use them, beats paying Telecom NZ over $2 a minute to call my cellphone when they can call through Digiplus for $0.41 minute tops depending on where I am at the time. |
