2002-08-19 00:26:00 | Hi, Can anyone please tell me why I cannot send a e-mail though Microsoft Outlook. My internet provider is clearnet. I can receive no problems and I have the right outgoing address right. It just seats in my outbox as not sent. Thank you. John Coleman

2002-08-19 02:55:00 | > It just seats in my outbox as not sent. once you click "Send" after typing your email, click the Send/Receive button without going into the Outbox to see if it's there. For some reason Outlook doesn't like sending emails that have been viewed within the Outbox. Don't go into the Outbox at all. HTH Mike.

2002-08-19 05:21:00 | There can be a problem if you have 1 The automatic disconnect ticked on the connection box and 2 "Check all outward E-mail" ticked in Nortons virus program. If so turn 2 off. and see what happens

2002-08-19 12:10:00 | Try deleting all messages in your Outbox and send a test message addressed to your self to see if that works as mail in the Outbox can get corrupted . If that works try sending the message again but type up a new one or copy and paste the original message into a new mail window, don't try and send the original again. If it still does not work note all your settings delete the mail account and set up a new one.

2002-08-19 12:30:00 | you dont have the option selected that makes outlook wait till you next press send/receive again by any chance? that got me when i first encounted it. If it sits forever then this is not the problem, if it sends when you hit send/recieve.... BINGO!
