72302 2002-08-19 02:35:00 Hey all.. I want to know the easiest cheap web site making place so I can create a web site for me.. can anyone help?? happygrrl (1562)
72303 2002-08-19 03:05:00 Ummm ... GeoCities (http://www.geocities.com). antmannz (28)
72304 2002-08-19 03:29:00 tripod (www.tripod.co.uk) (the uk based one, the better one of all the tripods) and geocities (http:) are the easiest to start off making web pages for newbies, because they have systems in place for doin so, but they are extremely limited/ugly, and full of ads.
lately a lot of people have been using orcon (www.orcon.net.nz), because it is nz based, ad web space.

mmm, i would say skip the free webspace providers (tripod and geocities) learn a bit about html and ftp (or just grab a copy of the dreamweaver mx floating around at the moment), and make it a good first one (i assume) at say orcon.

72305 2002-08-19 03:37:00 Orcon is good. And if you learn HTML then get 1st page 2000 at http://www.evrsoft.com for free.

Half of my site www.bloggsworld.tk is done with 1st page.

also if you go to http://www.dot.tk you can get an adress like mine for free.

72307 2002-08-19 05:43:00 use the "Join" link to register into their community. Then you can setup the free hosting. Graham L (2)
72308 2002-08-19 06:10:00 you can also try Host NZ (http://www.hostnz.co.nz) which is a New Zealand free hosting site.

I've put my first web site on there. I built most of the pages with a very basic web page builder called WebWeaver EZ (http://www.mcwebsoftware.com/) and then to get the frames etc ( where the page opens to the new one but the index stays on the left ) I used Frontpage98 which while it is a pay program is still fairly easy to use and navigate to get the desired effects

Have a look at Basic Computer Stuff (http://dipstick01.hostnz.co.nz)
