72094 2002-08-18 02:44:00 Like the tittle says I would like to remove the "User log on" from the win98se start menu. Could someone tell me how please? dchip (1426)
72095 2002-08-18 02:57:00 Right-click an empty area of the startbar and click properties. It is one of the options there under startmenu (you may have to click Advanced aswell. It's been awhile since I used windows 98).

72096 2002-08-18 03:50:00 It wasn't on the advanced menu in "properties", and yes it's been a while for me too (how quickly we forget..lol)
I deleted the "Microsoft family log-on" from the network folder in the control panel and rebooted, problem solved.
Thanks for taking the time to reply though, have a nice day:0)

72097 2002-08-18 04:07:00 If you dont have a network or a direct cable connection then try disabling user profiles in control panel-users.

If you are the only profile then you shouldnt see the logoff option.

72098 2002-08-18 04:30:00 Of course, I forgot, the sure fire way to remove Log Off is using TweakUI, if you have it.
Click IE tab, and clear the Allow Logoff check box.
