| 73061 | 2002-08-22 00:20:00 | from what i saw in a quick search, i wouldn't touch it with a 20ft barge pole. the only real thing that helps web SURFING is to tweak the mtu settings(try to make your connection a little better) and if you have adsl/cable you can make IE use more connections which can speed things up a little. at the end of the day its the phone line which isgoing to limit your speed. for downloading, a dowloading app such as flashget,getright can help a lot exspecially if you keep getting kicked off the net. |

| 73065 | 2002-08-22 06:09:00 | Those internet accelerator programs are all a load of bollocks mainly. The best thing to do is to alter the MTU settings as tweak'e mentioned. It can be done either in the registry or by another program designed for the purpose. |
