73061 2002-08-22 00:20:00 from what i saw in a quick search, i wouldn't touch it with a 20ft barge pole.

the only real thing that helps web SURFING is to tweak the mtu settings(try to make your connection a little better) and if you have adsl/cable you can make IE use more connections which can speed things up a little. at the end of the day its the phone line which isgoing to limit your speed.

for downloading, a dowloading app such as flashget, getright can help a lot exspecially if you keep getting kicked off the net.

73063 2002-08-22 02:04:00 Dont install it full of spyware and buggy as when you try to get rid of it I tried it and used goback to reinstate my PC as it was !!

I do use Downloader plus however and Broadband Wizard both work well

73064 2002-08-22 02:05:00 always read up on new stuff epinions.com is a good site before installing them eg avoid kazaa use kazaa lite etc kiwibeat (304)
73065 2002-08-22 06:09:00 Those internet accelerator programs are all a load of bollocks mainly.

The best thing to do is to alter the MTU settings as tweak'e mentioned. It can be done either in the registry or by another program designed for the purpose.
