73057 2002-08-21 18:25:00 I have a 486 that I use to run a thermal printer. It is making 4 beeps when starting but doesn't boot properly. I can hear hte hard drive working away like it is loading windows but have nothing on the screen. Can anyone suggest what may be wrong. Anymore info required? g4rs (744)

This should list exactly what beeps stand for what errors.

73059 2002-08-21 20:54:00 The AMI bios will give 4 beeps if there is a so-called system timer failure with the motherboard.
The m/b is most probably a write-off.
