true. but to test them i can connect the laptop to the wireless AND a wired network, and bridge them on that. then if they work, then sort out a way of getting an Access Point - as i don't think any of the other PC's in the house will run XP! |

They use their own system ... and the data rate is about 1 Mbps. Two cards would probably communicate ... My similar technology Proxim cards do, and talk to Windows OK.
There's a bit of information about "xircom netwave" gives some. Intel don't support it any more, but there's information. There appear to be drivers for Linux and BSD. |
