| 73989 | 2002-08-26 08:05:00 | After reading Geoff Palmer's story in IMag, I am keen to get rid of Windows Media Player. I don't want microsoft interfering with my computer. But how do I remove it? - stephen | stpn (1635) | ||

You may have to associate media files to what ever other prog you have installed. Personally, media player does not cause any problems, so I would leave it in. Bye |

| 73994 | 2002-08-26 09:37:00 | Goto FAQ at the top right of this page, look for FAQ #46. Its for removing Messenger, but the principle could be the same. It deals with sysoc.inf BUT: be warned, there isnt a lot documented that I know of (if you are using XP) and it could be a bit like IE, in that it cant be easily extracted without compromising the integrity of the OS itself. If you are comfortable reloading the entire system, feel free.... |
