Isn't that somewhere near Antarctica...or Invercargill (Invertarctica)Jetstream won't work as the hills are too steep for the signal to get up, and its too cold for it to propagate far....

74254 2002-08-28 05:52:00 It won't be long before other ISP's start offering the service. Sam H (525)
74255 2002-08-28 06:03:00 Well, If Ihug is able to offer it at $10 or less per month, I'd be in! What about a yearly thing, pay $100 for the whole year and get a $20 discount, Maybe I should be Ihug market analysis dude whatever they get called! Chilling_Silence (9)

They get to make more snowmen in Invergiggle than us

Jetstream won't work as

Probably true - or the cable breaks under the weight of all that snow

and

74258 2002-08-28 06:35:00 Anyone can receive calls when on the net, you just have to instal call diversion. Check it out in your phone book its on page 28 in Bay of Plenty edition under smart phone services. It costs $3.95 per month and you connect to it when you are on the net. All your calls are diverted to your cell phone only problem costs you 75c to answer but you dont miss important calls. tarathenoo kirrie kiwi (279)
74259 2002-10-02 03:36:00 Check out http://www.incontact.co.nz - You don't have to be a member of Actrix or Web World to get inContact, you can stay on the same ISP as you currently have. davef (1655)
74260 2002-10-02 03:42:00 Hiya;

You can stay on ihug and still get inContact through Actrix or Web World. You can also pay for a 6 months or a year subscription I believe.

74261 2002-10-02 03:43:00 A total cost of $15 per month (Telecom diversion plus this answer service) is high! Halfway to a second line, and as much again as many pay their ISP

And you still cant receive the call while you are on line. You can make the decision to drop the internet connection and take the call, or ignore it.

74262 2002-10-02 03:49:00 True - but answer while still on-line (VoIP) is coming soon. davef (1655)
