This would also tie up with what you have learnt by experience?

74008 2002-08-26 10:47:00 if you have the motherboard manual it most likely has the make and model number on it. what is the make and model number of the motherboard?

if all esle fails look on the motherboard for model number.

does the manual say it can take 128meg of registered ram? also some have a jumber to run edo or sdram.

74009 2007-02-21 02:50:00 HI,
586MMX V 5 . 2A motherboard (MB in future) should accept up to 384Mb of combined SIMM and DIMM memory . Suggest you use only SDRAM (3 . 3V), there is a voltage jumper at JP2
if not set to 3 . 3V it may not be reading the SDRAM, EDO DRAM takes 5V .

The skimpy MB book does not say how high you can go with SDRAM, at present I'm running 64MB on this "old" system .

With 2 SDRAM slots I'm wondering if anyone is running this MB over 256MB of memory .

Hope this helps .
