| 74130 | 2002-08-27 05:35:00 | Have been making a new machine from the bits of 2 old ones. Motherboard is a DFI g586ipc rev b, Pentium 166, works fine with a Quantum 850 meg hdd (win95), but when I replace it with a Seagate Medalist st32132a 2gig hdd (win98) I get "disk I/O Error " message. Bios autodetects this drive ok but machine wont boot. Both Hard disks work fine when returned to their original machine's. Any help??? Thanks. |

If you can't make it a userdefined disk, with the exact settings it has on its home machine, you will have to fdisk and format it. You should do that anyway. | Graham L (2) | ||
