| 75121 | 2002-08-30 14:49:00 | actually the set up from tucows is a bit of a joke.. sure it gives you a 200k set up file which you run, and you sort out what you need for the install of your choice, but then it just pulls several MB straight down the line from america.... never mind | Chris Wilson (431) | ||

| 75123 | 2002-08-31 02:08:00 | Atleast paradises IE setup prog was rewritten slightly so it pulled the big stuff strait in from paradises servers, thus providing a free download for those worried about going over the quota on a fast connection. .. i aint no programer, but it doesnt seem like that little tweak would be that hard to do..... Got the doze version of NS in this morning.. not too bad, i won't try the linux version cause Konqueror, the built in linux file manager seems to be as good a web browser as any. Pity about the annoying login in as a netscape user thing, otherwise not too bad seems quite fast on vanessa (me old slug) too... I think i'll keep Opera as the main browser on the 'doze box for a while yet, netscapes OK, but doesn't seem to be that much of an improvement |

| 75124 | 2002-08-31 02:21:00 | Mind you netscape might have it's uses for those times when a sudden personality change is in order . Seems less hassle than the little yellow pills, and thier side effects I never liked yellow, i preferred purple . One problem is that i got a big white rectangle in the top left corner where the buttons should be, and it only gives me buttons when i wave the curser at it, but then they disappear again . |
