| 74843 | 2002-08-29 08:47:00 | I am using Windows XP, and my "Help And Support" function will not open. I double click on it and nothing happens. It has worked in the past, but not now. Is there anyway of fixing this, or starting it another way? Thanking you ..... Craig.... |

| 74844 | 2002-08-29 09:15:00 | Oscar Henry, This problem can come about through running a registry cleaner or something that deletes/modifies/corrupts some registry keys. There is a fix on the following site Doug's Windows Tweaks and Tips (www.dougknox.com) and from the main page click on the Windows XP Fixes (www.dougknox.com) the fix you are looking for is WinXP Help Fix (www.dougknox.com) which should point to a VisualBasic script file {fixwinxphelp.vbs} and follow the instructions for downloading and running this script. I have deliberately put in the various site pointers in case someone else wants to try other fixes and/or tweaks. But the WinXP Help Fix pointer is the one you need for your little problem. Babe. |
