| 74979 | 2002-08-30 01:35:00 | I am running win95 and using a creative sound blaster 16 card(ISA) . Just recently i have got a new cd drive to upgrade my old one (old cd drive was also a creative cd drive) and now windows wont detect my new cd drive or my sound card. I am running the cd drive of the IDE channel on the sound card. Does any one know how i can fix this problem if so please post back thanks. |

If it was a"2X Creative" CD, it will have a set of 4 pairs of select pins rather than the MA/SL/CS selects of a modern drive. If thats's what it is, the controller on the sound card will be Creative's own interface which is not IDE. The old driver probably had the letters "SB" in it ... | Graham L (2) | ||
