2002-08-29 09:35:00 | Hi Maze - i presume this means its the same prob as you previously posted? Did you try the sites for the virus fix in your last thread?? Or was it not this problem?? Or is this something different again?? From what i read it did sound like the symptoms of a couple of the virus's in that thread. Was just wondering so we can rule that out if you tried it! :-)

2002-08-29 09:39:00 | That message means exactly what it says - it can't find the find it needs to run the program that your shortcut points to. Copernic 2001 Basic is a web search tool. Either you have uninstalled the program, deleted that file or it is corrupt. Try reinstalling Copernic 2001 again if you wish to keep it. If you don't want it anymore, reinstall it again then uninstall it from Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs.

2002-08-30 01:49:00 | Well I cant even add/remove programs. I tried to locate the prettypark file but no luck.... all my trouble started when I deleted the karzar files and downloaded kazar lite.... none of my programs will work. all i can do is log onto the net. | maze (1582) | |
2002-08-30 01:56:00 | 1. Reinstall KaZaa. 2. Uninstall KaZaa using Add/Remove Programs. 3. Run AdAware to remove the spyware. 4. Install KaZaa Lite. 5. Congratulate yourself with a bevvie. :)

2002-08-30 05:04:00 | After reading your other posts I'm a little uncertain whether you are a troll or not, but will give you the benefit of the doubt - for now. Why have you suddenly mentioned prettypark? That is a virus and you didn't say anything about that before. Go to this (housecall.antivirus.com) online virus scanner and run it whilst online. It will take some time so be patient. Do what it says if it finds any viruses.

2002-08-30 05:10:00 | Susan, the poster was pointed to a web page in a previous post, that mentioned prettypark. Probably a diversion, but its so hard to assist when no information is given - like the kazaar unistall/delete - at the start. Its like pulling teeth to get information out of people in order to help.

2002-08-30 05:58:00 | yep GF is onto it - in his previous post Maze said he can't open any programs pressf1.co.nz However after reading a few of his posts i see he is a realative newbie, which i didn't realise before. I did a quick search for him, and the main reason people have for not being able to open any programs, as he described, is a virus or several that do that, so that was an option i gave him to look into. Thats were the pretty park came from. Maze - Have you got any anti- virus software running on you computer and is it up to date? Could you give us your computer specs, but do the scan as Susan suggested so we can rule a virus out first, then we may be able to get somewhere. It may not be a virus but it would be good to rule it out.

2002-08-30 06:01:00 | It's worse than pulling teeth - it's like having them drilled and I have very fresh memories of that horrible procedure just now. :-( Maze, without a lot more details no one is going to be able to help, or even be bothered to help, but just do that online virus scan first. And keep your questions in the same thread (this one) so that people can keep track of the history of what help you are getting.
