See http://www.gameland.gr/ Translation of the new law can be read at www4.tpg.com.au Arcades in Greece are now closing up. Does this go down as one of the most stupid laws ever? Or another candidate for the Darwinian Awards. Not to mention all the people that will now be out of work. Thought you all would like to know. Jeff. |

| 75440 | 2002-09-01 10:38:00 | sounds like our drug laws... of course there is going to be a huge amount of people with ILLEGAL games on there computers, just like how in NZ over ½ our population uses illegal substances for recreation... well, they'll all be living in fear of the govt just a wee bit, just like much of NZ. Of course these laws will have very little use in actually stopping such "illegal" activity, just reducing the visability... Why are there so many laws that are built on the desire to have a population that doesn't trust the police, govt etc? Alienation is all that accurs when you "ban" any common activity that is esentually in private. Lets build a sneaky populus! |
