75249 2002-08-31 09:15:00 Does NZ shop stock the model PlexWriter 40/12/40A? I heard review that it is a solid yet fast CD burner available on the market. Do you guys have any info on this?

Thanks

75251 2002-08-31 11:12:00 TDK Cyclone 48x CD-R/RW writer is probably one of the best CD writer available in the market. It is fast and reliable; never fail me.

75253 2002-08-31 20:30:00 Should I buy mine TDK (Plextor is too expensive in NZ) online (where?) or at local dealers? Bob the Breakaway Steak (1693)
75254 2002-08-31 21:42:00 Check out Lite-on 40-12-48 It is an excellent fast writer, packaged with nero 5.5, there are very good reviews on this product. Go to Ascent website for latest prices/reviews etc. cheers greenglass (1432)
75255 2002-09-01 01:02:00 I second the recomendation of the "Lite on".

There's one in a machine that i look after, (not sure if that exact model) It is trouble free, and fast. It gets caned, and hasn't failed yet.

Excellant value too. Not only does it work well, but i've seen them selling for LESS than $200

Of course if your one of these people who think you have to spend lots of coin to get a good product, thi ones not for you!

75256 2002-09-01 02:38:00 No, I don't like "Lite-On" brands for the simple reason that they don't have a higher quantity that other brands. This may sound like a insult, but I finally come down with two models that I would like to get my hands on with a bit of help from the the net.

* Plextor PlexWriter 40/12/40A (Expensive @ $600+)
* TDK VeloCD 40/12/48 (Middle-of-the-range @ around $550)

Now, I don't care about the TDK will burn CD's at so-and-so seconds slower Plextor. What I really want is the quantity over price.

Any ideas which one should I buy?
