75182 2002-08-31 01:11:00 Hi all,

My cordless wheel mouse (not infra-red) slows down to a stop after about a second of use. If I wait a few secs it works for another second. It also doens't click sometime. I've tried cleaning the rollers and ball, reinstalling drivers, and even restoring the computer to a previous day when everything worked (like yesterday!). Any ideas? Is the mouse had it. Please help, as I've lots of photo editing to do - a difficult job without a mouse!

75183 2002-08-31 01:48:00 I'm not 100% sure but I guess if it's not using infra-red it must use a radio signal. And if that's the case my best guess would be cell-phone interference. Turn it off / move it far away from the PC. antmannz (28)

75185 2002-08-31 06:52:00 Duhhhhhhhhh,

yep, it was the battery. Why is it always the low tech fixes that I never think of? I did check the cable though.

Thanks very much, I owe you lot
