| 1287731 | 2012-07-13 03:59:00 | My dealings with Trademe have been less than ideal ever since they accused me of having multiple accounts. No matter how much that was explained they just kept locking out the account, one person sorted it out at TM then another decides nope it is a problem. It came to a head when we used Trademe to advertise our house! The cancelled the account and refused to refund the advertising fee $300 is a lot of money so got in touch credit card company and got it returned. | coldfront (15814) | ||

What do you think? The string of bids from one bidder is simply auto-bidding in action. If somebody places an autobid for say $200 and especially so if there is no reserve, the result will be a series of bids all by the same person until they are either out-bid, or win the auction. If you keep upping your autobid in the face of a keen bidder, and you do it before they get to pass your current bid limit (this discourages some people and they give up!) you can show as the sole bidder. Yes, it drives the price up, but it is entirely kosher. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
