| 75798 | 2002-09-02 09:27:00 | I use Getright for downloading, most of the the time, but occasionally sites won't allow a download manager, and the default Windows downloader kicks in. Is there any way of permanently changing the target location for these downloads managed by Windows? The default seems to be MyDocs but I've seen the occasional system where the desktop ends up as target. TIA |

Navigate to the following folder and amend the download directory path to what you require (eg C:\downloads) HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer If you have never edited the registry before then read the following articles before making changes.
