| 75744 | 2002-09-02 06:56:00 | This was posted previously:- "Till recently I was always able to search for a lost file using the search function in Windows explorer. Now it is simply not working any longer, dosn't matter if I try a search with a wildcard (*) or punch in the whole name of a file." I also had this problem, many months ago. Then I was advised to reinstall Windows Me. I deduced at that time that I should always exit the Search by selecting the 'Folders' display. This seemed to stop the problem arising. Now it has happened again, and I don't know whether I failed to return to "Folders' after my last Search!! And I don't want to reinstall Windows again!! Can anybody please advise how to make Search operate again. Thanks, Bill |
