| 75627 | 2002-09-02 01:01:00 | Need some advise, Am looking at a new Graphics card, and are looking at a Radeon 8500 64DDR, what is this card like? I have been quoted a price of $350. I can either get this card or a GeForce4 Ti4200 64DDR for $400. What do you guys recommend? Veale |

| 75629 | 2002-09-02 07:24:00 | Hi, My advice would be to get the Radeon 8500LE with 128MB DDR. This beats the pants of the 64MB version, and should cost you around $380. For the same amount of RAM the GF4 chip is faster, but only by a shade - about 5% on frame rates. Of those two cards however, I'd opt for the Radeon, for it's value. It's only a fraction slower. Still, for that kind of money you should DEFINATELY be getting the 128MB card. The GF4 is not so grossly overpriced, but you should be able to get hold of one for more like $360. :) Erin |
