75791 2002-09-02 10:17:00 If you want to share a file with others direct then you need to be able to make that file easily findable for them and if it is a semi private file then you need to make the name something reasonably obscure. If it is a single file then I usually name it 123456 and place it in my shared folder and then just keep an eye on it till the person I want picks it up.

If I have quite a few files for several people to download then I place a picture ( any picture ) in the shared folder and name it after myself. My friends then know to do a search for a picture named...... and then do a find more from user search.

Remember though, if its in your shared folder then anyone can pick it up and download it and also while they are there get your friends to check to see what else is available thet you are sharing with the rest the p2p network, I had a friend who ended up having the entire contents of her main drive avilable after not reading the instructions properly.

75794 2002-09-02 14:45:00 Hi. If you're using the cheap version of Jetstream then you need to expect the speed limitations that your ISP specifies.

Full speed Jetstream, with it's own cost per meg limit, won't restrict your download speed, apart from the usual Internet constrictions.

Also, your download speeds are restricted according to whatever bandwidth the sender allows you (their settings), as well as whatever traffic there is between you and them (plus other issues, such as user numbers etc).
