75759 2002-09-02 07:12:00 Hello

I'm on the verge of buying a new PC but am getting indecisive about motherboard choice - I've read to many reviews and my brains imploding from info overload!

I'm looking at purchasing a KT333 motherboard, but am trying to decide which manufacturer. I've looked at a few reviews but hear mixed comments so am wanting feedback on peoples experiences.

Ones I am considering...
InnoBD - BD-7330BD
Soyo SY-KT333 Dragon Lite (black)
Epox 8K3A+

Can anyone provide advice please? e.g. brand reputation, quality of hardware etc

75760 2002-09-02 07:44:00 Hi doog. I have an asus a7v333 on one computer, it's easily configured, most stuff done in bios, there are ONLY 19 jumpers on it, which can be a bit daunting at first, but the manual is fairly comprehensive, running an xp2000+ amd and gf4ti 4600 graphics card,1024mb ddr333 ram,2x 60 gig hdd seagates, the onboard sound is ok, have had no probs whatsoever and the system is very stable, easily overclocked if need be.
I have another machine and thought i'd try out the chaintech apogee 7VJL , no probs with this board either although the manual is a bit vague in some areas there are some goodies in the box ie rounded ata cables, full version of linux, front 3.5 bay usb and headphone/mic ports, etc, etc. like you I read all sorts of reviews but for my main machine settled for the reliability of the asus. Hope this helps

75761 2002-09-02 11:35:00 Thanks for the reply Greenglass - you say reliability of Asus - would that be the reliability of Asus itself or this particular motherboard in comparison to others of a similar ilk? doog (402)
75762 2002-09-02 15:45:00 I meant the reliability of the a7v333, others I know who also use this particular m/b are also very pleased with it. Bios updates are a readily obtainable and are a breeze to implement, check out asus website. In my opinion [humble] the nearest rival is the soyo dragon ultra. cheers greenglass (1432)
