| 76011 | 2002-09-03 04:28:00 | I have seen sugestions to use the program "Spider" to remove the index>dat file from the hard drive. Can I use this program with Windows XP Home? Thanks for your help. |

| 76012 | 2002-09-03 04:47:00 | I'm not sure if Spider works with Win XP. I see on the Spider website that there is a (old) note about the "bug" being fixed in IE 6 beta, and if this is the case you won't need to use it. Anyway, it won't hurt to try it, it just won't work if it can't. Use the latest version 1.16. |

| 76015 | 2002-09-03 05:34:00 | Why? Well this (pressf1.co.nz) is why. The only settings you will lose are your History and Cookie settings if you choose the option in Spider to delete them. Yes, it will return after a reboot, but as a much slimmer version. Read that thread that the link points to. Migdale: if your PC is FAT32 and not NTFS Spider should work fine. |
