| 76208 | 2002-09-03 22:51:00 | Not too worried if I can't do, but would be handy anyway..... I know I can change some of the shortcut icons on my desktop, by going into properties > change icon...... But if I make a shortcut to a new folder (ie: mp3 playlist) on my desktop, I don't get the option. Is there a way around this, as it would be nice to put something "pretty" on my desktop, instead of the boring Windows standard folder icon! Running WinME Regards, BALDY:-) |

| 76209 | 2002-09-03 22:59:00 | What's your procedure for making the folder shortcut? I just made a shortcut to a folder by right-clicking on the folder and Sendto > desktop as shortcut, and once that's done it lets me change the icon no problem. Mike. |

| 76211 | 2002-09-03 23:40:00 | Thats what I do as well Mike........ When I "manufacture" a new shortcut, and it is on my desktop, there is no option for me to change the icon. If I right-click say the MSN Xplorer icon, I get two tabs to work on - A:General, B:Shortcut My "new" desktop icons that I "manufactured myself" only have the General tab, and I can't change the icon. I must be doing something wrong BALDY:-) |
